MY VIEW OF SURFING:

Well, more than a vision for me, it’s my way of life. It’s what I’ve always wanted to do, but surfing is everything to me. Only when I surf do I feel like I’m doing the right thing, I feel great. And I enjoy helping everyone who wants to improve in my JMC Surftraining room in Lanzarote.

-I consider myself very fortunate for the support and trust they place in me.-

QUIVER: Weapon 5’8 ”; Miniss 5’3 ”; Radfun 5’5 “; TK64 6’3 ” and The Lord 9’2 ”.

SURFERS: Rob Machado, Kelly Slater and Taylor Knox.

WAVE: La Ría (Rodiles).

TRAVEL: Hawaii, Maldives, England, Canary Islands, Portugal, France, Chile and California.

WHY SLASH?

In fact, I have rarely been asked that question. Anyone who knows me a little knows about my involvement in this project. I am the rider who has been with the brand for the longest time and I consider myself very fortunate for the support and trust they place in me year after year, and it’s been 15 years, which will be said soon.
I am passionate about surfboards for the simple fact that they are the tools with which I get a source of enormous happiness and well-being, they are my tools to surf.
At Slash I share that spirit of self-improvement and dedication with a team that loves their work. This is evident in a final product that is constantly evolving. I consider that in many of these boards there is a part of me, since thanks to my Test and Feedback tests, Marcos achieves those little nuances that often make a difference.

GOALS:

The truth is that my goals are simple, I have a wonderful family and some exceptional friends.
Surfing is my life and I consider myself lucky to share it with the people I love.
In the water as in life I want to continue to improve myself day by day.

-Conocí Slash a los 11 años, hice un curso de surf con ellos y me compré mi primera tabla.-

QUIVER: Power full 5.8 (25l) Power full (optimun) 5.8 (25l) Fireball (optimun) 5.8 (25l) Rad fun 5.8 (25l) Weapon 5.8 (25l) Hammer 6.1 (25, 5l) F1 6.2 (27l) Rider warrior 6.4 (28l) < span lang = “ES-TRAD”> Funny gum 7.0 Big gun 8.6 Big gum 10 , 3 .
SURFERS: Craig Anderson, Dion Agius, Harry Bryant.
SPONSORS: Slashboards, Xcel wetsuits.

WHY SLASH?

I met Slash when I was 11 years old, I took a surf course with them and bought my first board. At that time Slash’s workshop and store was close to the estuary and where I lived. When I wasn’t going to surf at the beach, I would go to the workshop to learn things about boards and surfing in general. There I felt like in a movie, with that smell of resin, that multitude of boards, the dust in the environment, the masks that the workers put on and the rock and roll music that mixed with the noise of the sanders …
Marcos and Cris (owners) welcomed me as if I were their family teaching me all kinds of things related to boards and surfing.
I started competing and won a championship. Marcos offered me to join the Slash family and I felt more and more immersed in this sport.
The summer I turned 18 I worked as a clerk in the store selling all kinds of Slash gear and boards. Thanks to everything I learned in previous years, I started my first steps as a surf instructor at his school, teaching all kinds of audiences. The money I earned I spent on a trip to surf until I went to Lanzarote to spend the winters. There I perfected my surfing, every time I felt more comfortable in the water and every time I caught bigger and more powerful waves.
Now, with years of practicing this sport and a good surfing base, I am fortunate to be able to help Marcos (shaper and owner) to test and develop new models of boards in all types of waves, conditions and seas in the world.
Marcos and I have a very good relationship and a lot of trust. I saw the brand grow and she saw me grow, I feel very fortunate to continue being part of this great family over the years and continue to improve and grow together.

GOALS:

Personally, my goal with Slash is to continue promoting my surfing and make the brand known as far as possible. Marcos our shaper is very involved in getting to know each client to make that special and personalized table that makes each bathroom one hundred percent enjoy.
On the other hand, as the owner of SALINAS SURF CAMP I work together with SLASH to continue improving and growing in everything that has to do with surfing and thus be able to train surfers with good skills.
We are lucky that Salinas beach is very versatile in terms of conditions and we can enjoy good waves all year round. For this reason, it is possible to teach and train those who like this sport so much. sport.

SURFERS: Caroline Marks, Carissa Moore.

SPONSORS: Fear Of The Waves, Slashboards.

TRAVEL: French coast, Canary Islands and North Coast of Spain.

HIGHLIGHTS HONORS: 2020 – 4th in the Spanish U18 Championship; 2019 – Spanish sub 16 circuit champion, 4th in the Spanish sub 16 championship, 3rd Grom Search Rip Curl Spain, 17th in the WSL Pro Junior in Espinho, Asturias Open and circuit champion in the categories U16 and U18; 2018 – champion of the Asturias sub 16 championship and circuit, 2nd in the Asturian sub 18 circuit and 3rd in this Open category circuit.

WHY SLASH?

My first custom board was a Slash. This was very good for me as it adjusted to my surfing level and helped me to progress a lot. When I had improved I had to change the table, so I did not hesitate to contact Marcos to create a new one. From this beginning, thanks to the contact between the shaper – surfer and the feedback, I have always done very well and meet all expectations.
In addition, the treatment is spectacular, the materials with which they work and the finishes they provide are very professional.
In such a way, I choose Slash because the boards have always been very good for me and the treatment is incredible, very familiar.

GOALS:

I would like to be able to travel and surf the waves outside of Spain such as Indonesia or the United States. From a competitive point of view, obtain good results at the European level that will come with work and perseverance. On the other hand, represent the Spanish team in the championships, whether European or world.
